Dearest, most precious saint.
Quickly,
Do you realise the impact you are making right now?
Yep. You.
Though...
If you don't quite know it yet.
Maybe this will help.
One day,
A man bought shoes from me.
They were very expensive shoes.
And I really enjoyed serving him and his wife. In fact it was such a joy I kind of missed him when he went out of the doors of the shop on Princess Street in Edinburgh.
Then two weeks later I got a surprise in the post.
It was a post card.
No big deal.
It was of a rooftop terrace in Yemen. There a man in traditional arab dress was being served old school coffee and sweets. Palm trees and mountains stretching away behind him in the distance.
On the back were handwritten words saying how my shoe buyer and his wife loved being cared for when they shopped with me, thousands of miles away.
It was so kind of him to write to me, a stranger.
And it made me feel loved.
That even me, a lowly shoe seller was worth something to someone.
Anyway,
I've been thinking of that postcard this past few days and I wanted to send one to you.
Here it is.
On the front is a photo of Jesus smiling.
On the back it says...
"I can't stop thinking about you.
I LOVE YOU. "
Jesus.
"And… what I began in you, I WILL FINISH. "
Have a great weekend saint :)
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
Bless you.
Dave.
