If GOD is love
Here is what to expect
“I loved you when I saw you.
And I saw you before I created you. I created you because I wanted you.
And I still want you.
I want you to know that you can live forever.
You can love forever. And I am love. Because I love, you can love.
And…
Because I created you to live forever,
In love.
With love.
And by love.
To love me is to know me.
And I will know you too.
It will take a long time for me to get to know you because there are vast oceans inside you that will take me forever to discover. I know because I placed them inside you and I made them independent of me.
I made them…
Completely independently and totally you.
Completely free of me.
Why did I do that?
Because I am not a tyrant. I will not control you. I will not force you to love me, to know me or to obey me.
Yet know this precious disciple…
If you love me, you will keep my commands. And my commands are not heavy.
There are only two…
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22: 37-40 ESV
Remember…
I AM WHO I AM.
And you are who you are—Which is why I want to know you.
And.
Why I love you.”
